Welkom op de persoonlijke webpagina’s van de familie Kaasschieter-Mohr. We wonen in Nederland. Deze webpagina’s gaan over onze hobbies en interesses. Naast (model–)spoorwegen bestaan deze ook uit het onderhouden en verbeteren van deze website.
Welcome to the personal webpages of the Kaasschieter-Mohr family. We are living in the Netherlands. These pages are about our hobbies and interests. Next to (model–)railways we like to maintain and improve this website.
Wij willen dat onze pagina’s leesbaar zijn voor iedereen, daarom houden we ons aan de XHTML1.0 standaard. Als u een “text-only browser” heeft kan u de schema’s en diagrammen alleen bekijken door ze apart te laden. Deze schema’s en diagrammen zijn essentieel om de tekst te begrijpen. Helaas zijn we niet in staat te schrijven over spoorwegplannen zonder ze te tonen.
We want our pages to be readable for everybody, that’s why we stick to the XHTML1.0 standard. If you have a text-only browser, you can only view the diagrams and figures by downloading them. These diagrams and figures are essential to understand the text. But we’re not able to write about railway layouts without showing them.
English is not our native language, Dutch is. But in order to reach a larger audience we’ve tried to translate the pages into English. If you notice grammatical and spelling errors, and you have the desire to correct them, we’ll be glad to hear from you and correct any mistakes we’ve made. Sometimes we’ve had difficulties translating technical terms. If you notice incorrect or bad terminology, please let us know.
We know there’s quite a difference between American English and British English. We don’t want to get mixed up in the discussion which is better, preferable or most commonly used on the internet. We know for sure that railway/railroad terminology can differ quite a lot. You’re free to state your opinion as to which version we should use on my homepage. We haven’t made up my mind on this subject, but we prefer the British-English we’ve learned in school.
