The Rimping gallery in ChangMai Thailand was situated across the road from the river Ping. In 1997 I had a Solo Exhibition in the Gallery which consisted of two rooms. The building had a Rap around terrace That is where the Thai version of the performance of "Moment of Creation" took place. The weather was hot at that time of the year only weeks before the monsoon season. The air was dry and sometimes rather dusty. I was enchanted by the Thai culture and I loved the food. The people in ChaingMai had a particular sense of beauty that I never have experienced again. Partly because artists are regarded as special people and given a great deal of respect. Suwat was the owner of the gallery an artist himself (painter) , was in contact with most of the Faculty of Fine Arts at ChiangMai University. He was a pretty kool Dude who looked more like a Rock and Roll star than a gallery owner. He was married to a Dutch women who owns The River Café just across the road.
