VAN RINGEN & SIEVERS

RINGE was one of the four municipalities out of which in 1974 the municipality of EMLICHHEIM was formed (Emlichheim, Hoogstede, Laar & Ringe).

Already in 1561 a man called Rotger van Ringe is mentioned (source).
'In 1579 leent het echtpaar Johan en Grete Kopes te Ulsen aan de stad Ootmarsum 100 Taler. De schuld wordt 40 jaar later terugbetaald aan de erven Koops, zijnde Rotger van Ringe en echtgenote Hinriche Berendtz als erfgenamen van Gerrit ten Dusschate en zijn echtgenote Gertrudt Berendtz.'

Another daughter, Aleida, married Tönnis Ravekes (Raafkes), son of burgomaster Gerrit Ravekes (link).
